Haruna Shrine [Haruna Jinja]

Haruna Shrine [Haruna Jinja] is a storied shrine with 1400 years of history located in the southwest of the Haruna lake.

Besides Homusubinokami [God of fire], and Haniyamahimenokami [God of ground), from Meiji Era, OyamatsuminoKami, Minumano-okaminokami, Omononushinokami, Konohanasakuyahimenokami, etc. are enshrined together.

It believes in this shrine thickly as God of "peacefulness, national peace, extinguishment of a fire, better luck, the safety of the family, five-cereals fertility, prosperity in business, matchmaking, and easy delivery protection."
In order to obtain such divine favor, the persons involved in engineering works, electric power, electricity, a communication facility, a china, and pottery, etc. visit mostly.

- Natural treasure "Yatatenosugi"
The big tree for presumed age-of-a-tree 1000 years which is one of the highlights of Haruna Shrine, and Yatatenosugi became a natural treasure specified by a country 1933.

- The Japan specification important cultural property "Soryumon" 
Soryumon [a gate which imitated twins' dragon] which is here is the total zelkova structure, and completion is 1855.

The left is also called Hokoiwa and alias "candle rock".

- Misugataiwa
Strangely shaped rocks representing Haruna Shrine which rise up behind a main shrine "Misugataiwa."
The object of worship is deified in the cave in the inside of rock.

- Tsudzuraiwa [a nine-box rock]
The "Tsudzuraiwa" which can be seen in the middle of the promenade for about 50 minutes which continues from the reverse side of a shrine to the Haruna lake.
This name stuck from the appearance from which the rock is a winding path.

From JR Takasaki Station west entrance, the Haruna lake going via Hongo is taken by Gumma bus, and it comes down at the stop in front of Haruna Shrine, and is on foot 15 minutes.
Only before [ from 8:30 and 9:30 ] Takasaki Station and No. 1 per time.
When it rides on from for 8:30 minutes, it arrives in front of a shrine 9:40.

- Bus of return to Ikaho
